The Old Folks Home

This is what our daughter took from their driveway!
Looks like an erupting volcano!

Back and alive...
YEA!!
Lovely pictures. I'm surprised some of the places were mobbed. Kinda figured with school back in session it would be fairly quiet.

@bruce2000 of course you saw a robin in southern California! Smart bird. Go where it's warm and stay there!
Wrong tag there micro. Haven't lived in So. Cal since July '79. No intention of going back to the heat and over population! We do have robins here. And blue jays and cardinals and lots of other birds. Definitely less song bird noise now though, those that migrate must be slowing and quietly heading south.

This morning I heard the unmistakable sound of a flock of migrating Canadian Geese as I was sipping coffee. Fall is in the air!
Um, you sure those Canada Geese were migrating? They haven't even started way up here and when they do, they go south to latitudes around where you are. I wouldn't expect any to head out for at least another month or probably two.

They are still hunted here!
Stop hunting, start trapping! You could get rich at $100/pair :D

Yeah, but Penny! You have Cascadia to the west and the Yellowstone Caldera off to the east. What you miss out on with Hurricanes and Tornados you make up for with the ground potentially rockin and a rollin.

There isn't a place you can live where it is perfect. We put down roots where our hearts tell us to and there we grow and deal with whatever ma nature throws at us.

Cap so glad the tree missed the turkey coop. Are you otherwise riding out Florence safely? You and Bunnylady have been in my prayer that the storm is kind to you.
