The Old Folks Home

I saw a gorgeous halter top full(sorta) apron at Marshall's months ago. Brought it home, tried it on, had to return it. The girls wouldn't stay within borders and the apron couldn't make it around my girth. Oh well, most days it would be to chilly to wear.

now that was just a tad too descriptive

I have visual imagery that will be imprinted in my mind for a long long time

SCG sounds like your aprons would go like hot cakes. I suppose you'd have to pm "the frisky side" photo, to interested parties so they could see the merchandise. PM me first, I really could use an apron and reversible is great in case I EVER have company.

The fabric I'm currently working with is this in a nice retro apron with a blue ruffle at the bottom, reversible with a yellow/blue retro flower pattern on the back side:

The good thing about sewing is you can make something any size, and make the alterations that you want. I am making the above apron for my best friend, who is quite a large girl, so I'll just enlarge the pattern I'm working with.

And thanks for the laugh.

SCG I kinda thought you had a risqué reverse side. I don't know if it was a topic on this thread or not. Somewhere they were discussing fabric from Jo-Ann shops. One person looked on line for under the heading "Heavy construction," or something like that and it was a really interesting design um, males with tool belts and stuff. I can say no more because OZ might have a case of the vapors.

I would really be interested. Would it be possible to have the normal side - just a denim fabric(takes a lot of ice cream toppings spills etc) and the construction guys on the reverse? If you think it's doable maybe you could send me a pm with estimated price.

I like that! Now you have to tell us what yours is.

Anyone have any fun weekend plans? We're finishing up the last of the winter preparations here. I'm surprised we haven't even had flurries yet, and nothing predicted in the next 10 days, either.

The Adventure continues.

The landscape began changing as I travelled further north. The leaves took on darker shades of fall colors and were less spectacular. The vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges became russet, mustard, and golden-brown.

Passing from Kentucky into Ohio, there was no welcome center rest stop, but the state line was in a populated a area. I counted nine fresh whitetail deer carcasses between Nashville and Cincinnati. They seemed much larger than the deer in Alabama. I don't know if it's that I was on the interstate or if it's yhT at home the deer are picked up and taken home to be processed, but you don't see that many where I'm from.

I arrived in Cincinnati after dark but was "wowed" anyway. The lights and the river were beautiful. I wished (there I go again) that the traffic would jam so I could look more and take pictures. The drive to Columbus was dark and by the time I found my hotel and checked in, I was bone tired.

I called to check on Dad and he is doing a bit better. My brother and sisters insisted I go on this trip once Dad got out of ICU. They said they would take good care of him for me.

I called home, too, and it seems Duck Duck was taken by a predator. I feel really bad because I let her out that morning before I left and she didn't want to go to the coop but she walked out there with me when I called her. I think she sensed something or saw something I didn't. One of my plans was to get her a mate while I'm here. I guess that won't be necessary.

Well, you all are caught up. I am sitting in the lobby with coffee, waiting for my adventure to continue.
