The Old Folks Home

Ok... I am serious... they do them for Deer and Elk set away from where they are doing damage.... Either a hitch post set up or an angled rub.... with a tall verticle.

deer rub they use a couple of saplings growing and a horizontal bar with wire to hold it in place...

Moose rub.... would have to be built much sturdier.... Heavy posts High enough for them to rub their antlers... and rather than horizontal just do an angular pole the same size as the verticle. Bolted or strapped in place.

I have seen them in zoos...

Rain yesterday and last night that put the kibosh on Balloon Fiesta festivities, but this morning they flew and because of the weather flew low. Always fun when they fly north to our neighborhood.

My Grandparents had a farm near Binghamton! The Bartlesons.

I am getting my eyelids snipped back and a brow lift. It will help me see better.
I did the eyelids last year. Wish my ins. would have covered the browift .its considered a face lift? I had peripheral problems. The surgery really helped!

It seems more likely that dogs live longer now, and that when things do go wrong people are willing to spend more money on diagnostics and treatment. Dogs used to be utility companions, and only in the last 20-30 years have become more like family. The best pet food companies invest millions of dollars in making sure their foods are safe and of good quality - quite frankly most dog foods are probably better in quality and balance than the diets of many people.
I find some of the current diet fads, such as grain-free (REALLY not necessary) and RAW diets (highway to food poisoning for everyone) to be quite disturbing. Unfortunately it can be hard to find information that is plausible, backed by rigorous evidence, and realistic. But all that goes back to the internet being a prime source of misleading, malicious and damaging falsehoods.
My vet just informed me that the grain free isn't good. Said to use lamb and rice. Plus, my pooch gets his people meat at times. Or egg.
