The Old Folks Home

I like em grilled just to the point that the moo is cooked out of them. I tell every waiter/waitress that and they always come back perfectly pink and juicy in the middle and seared on the outside. It's not quite medium rare, more like 3/4s rare.

Have a friend in Texas that went to a banquet at a convention we were both attending. The main course was a whole beef shank on a spit that they carved on the spot, closer to the surface was well done but nearer the bone it was streaming blood that was running down into the dripping pan. I can still hear her look at it and in her rich Texan accent say "Fer Gawd's sake couldn't ya kill that poor steer before ya cooked him?" The server told her she had a point.

I watch that show too!

Bets are that the new Season will be out in November
Had a appointment with a specialist for DD#2 for her ears, tubes, she's supposed to have them permanent for life.
I stayed in the waiting room, another dad came in with a little girl and a probably 2yr old boy, older sis calling the boy Declan. Did I hear that right? Yup dad called him Declan also.
I guess it could have been a family name, Irish, they didn't look Irish but what does a Irish family descendents look like in the USA today IDK? Just a odd name I haven't ever heard except for Declan Harp on 'Frontier', I was sitting there thinking maybe he was just a fan of the show lol.

That is funny!

There will likely be an uptick of boys named Declan now

Yesterday I saw a commercial for assisted living on television. The daughters were preparing the transition for 'Mom'. She was an ancient 83. :th Do you know how close that is for the Princess and me ? I dread the thought of becoming dependent upon others.

He still drinks beer and works hard, slowing down a bit but you'd never guess he's in his 80s.

Hard frost advisory tonight, picked the Lady Godiva hull less seeds pumpkins. Six yr old boy cried, said they're tiny!! thought we were going to have to buy some he threw such a fit but older sis's said he could have the biggest so he was OK with it. Hope the seeds are mature won't know till we carve. They're supposed to be green with orange stripes, not quite ready yet. Also another blue hubbard and a small hopi pale grey.
