I have about a gazillion pairs of toe socks. I wear them all winter. I love having each toe individually wrapped. I can guarantee that at least one member of my family will get me a new pair for Christmas...that's one of the many um..."different" things that I collect. I also collect Squinkies. I have hundreds; and a little town for them. Maddy and I play for hours sometimes. I always try to change something in "Squinkyland" every night and she will try the next morning to figure out what is different. Yeah...I'm off the wall alright.

I'm just wierd, I know, but I'm lucky enough to have friends and family who understand and even embrace my wierdness. School, though, was a nightmare. I was such a nerd that I got picked on allll the time.

Wisher-- glad you are feeling better, at least enough to post the few pictures. I'm sure your experience was like my first time at a big show: eye popping awe struck by the sheer numbers of chickens.

The only single strong memory I have of my first show( Boston) was the biggest Buff ORpington rooster-- the size of a small pony, so it seemed at the time. I stared at it on champion row, and it would draw me back time and again. FILLED his cage.

Not sure when I can check into the campines here-- he is an old breeder, and has buckeyes, a line that was used in the ALBC line Don Schreider created. As for thier quality,I missed seeing them at the BOston Show, not that I would know a quality campine anyways.

Yup-- weather is all over the place!!! THe polar caps are smaller than ever, and a big pool of melted sea ice is sworling in the north sea somewhere and the concern is when it blends into the ocean currents . . . . feels like science fiction.

Very cold today, and sun is already setting for the day and it is only 11 am !!

You ain't kiddin'. I'm looking out the window, thinking this has the feeling of a certain notoriously hot place freezing over. This just doesn't happen here - not in November, anyway.

Gotta be global warming, right?

I remember when I lived in Wilmington back in the 60's for a very short time..snow flakes started to fall. You would have thought something miraculous was going on..well, guess it was for there. First time anyone had seen snow, ever. Everyone in the neighborhood that was home was coming outside to watch. Didn't last long of course. I believe that Global warming is effecting our world for sure.

Wisher, love the pics..what is that big white boy in the second photo? Leghorn? White Rock? I would know better if it was a leghorn hen. I have those, can't have large roosters..going to try and get away with having a small Serama Roo though. Just hatched a bunch, and have a few more in the bator. I will watch them, and keep, the most quiet little boy. I want to breed those cuties really bad. They are so sweet, just love them. I have the perfect coop and run for them. They will be nice and warm this winter..because they need to be!
Anyway, I love that big white boy in your photos. Handsome!
