We have a new addition to the family.
Big changes Cynthia. I'm sure the dogs will give you both much pleasure. And unlike chickens (at least MOST people's chickens) they can be near you all day and night.

Sorry you won't get to visit your sister as often, how far away will she be?
 
I could find one but, no way to get to a vet, etc, with it. Plus vet bills are high like human doctors. People keep giving me stuffed dogs - not the same, and no where to put any more.
You've got that right on vet bills!

Only 20 miles, but, may as well be a 100. :( To think how I used to drive! Loved it. Drove some pretty nice sports cars back in the day.
 
DD, I don't know about your area, but here we have several good rescue groups. They pay the vet bills, but need foster homes while the dogs are being treated, and nursed back to health. They also use foster homes to evaluate, and (re)socialize the dogs, so they can eventually be adopted. You might want to look into it.
