The Old Folks Home

Need prayer. The wife and I were in an accident yesterday. No serious injuries, just a lot of bruises and scrapes. The wife is hurting more than me....it was her first wreck. We're going to be sore for a while.
Ow, that is miserable. Hoping for a speedy recovery. Last wreck hubby and i were in , a man fell asleep at the wheel. We both had multiple broken ribs. It was a bad wreck.

Our old tractor died. But it was a bear to use. The snow blower hooked onto the back... so you had to drive backwards to plow. Very slow, no cab, if you leaned too far the seat fell off.

It was great for chewing up the berms and widening up the driveways. But wow.... cold and painful and SLOW!

Kind of glad it died. Well, sad too.....

Now THAT would be fun! :lau

Yeah... didn't get home until after 5pm.. and then the plow was being wonky again. Turns out the connection (the cable) is a bit corroded so having trouble getting the buttons to "talk" to the plow.

The area I plow is so twisty and long... and so much junk in the parking lots (mine included  ) I am forever having to adjust the angle of the wings... and of course up and down is critical.

I managed to do a quick pass through everything.... took me right at 3 hours. Looked like 2 people had run off the drive into the ditch (and gotten pulled back out), and one truck parked down at the pond. One friend had driven up to the church with his plow truck, his plow truck busted, he got his truck towed out, but he dropped his plow. That plow is at the base of that driveway I hate. Sheesh. Did a super quick pass over that driveway... but I didn't hit the plow... or the house.

But then I backed over the church flower garden. :he Sheesh! Shouldn't be too bad though.

Dang.

I felt bad.

Sky looks like snow... but I am busy all day tomorrow too... I have FRIDAY open. So how about we get it to snow Thursday night or early Friday morning.

I want to plow in daylight.... so start at 10:30. Gives me a nice 4 hours of good light to plow.

Then let us vote for no more snow until LATE next week! :fl
Tractors seem to be used forever! Is is less expensive to buy new ones now instead of rebuilding them?

Dang!

So sorry. Hope that there are no lasting effects.

Over at my place....

Fingers were NOT properly locked... the weather dial was NOT properly dialed! :barnie

Snowed another 3 ish inches.

I have decided to ignore them... they are NOT there. Nope.

I am busy!!!!!

Guess I will have to plow tonight. Blah

The motor is totally toast.

We need to replace the motor. But it is a 74 I think. Haven't looked much to see if there is one out there.... haven't been ready to spend the money.
