The Old Folks Home

Need prayer. The wife and I were in an accident yesterday. No serious injuries, just a lot of bruises and scrapes. The wife is hurting more than me....it was her first wreck. We're going to be sore for a while.
The worst wreck for me was when I was thrown out of a pickup on I-5. It was when I was 12 or so and the week before easter. Some scrapes and bruises and a wicked concussion. My Brother went to the Hospital for an overnight visit.

I hurt for weeks after that!

The motor is totally toast.

We need to replace the motor. But it is a 74 I think. Haven't looked much to see if there is one out there.... haven't been ready to spend the money.
Maybe one of the Sons can rebuild the engine. 1974 engines are relatively simple and even if you have to sleeve the block they are often fixable.

Thanks everyone. We appreciate it. The other driver is in the hospital, the airbag did one heck of a number on him.
We were doing only 35mph when he turned in front of us . It was just a momentary lapse of concentration on his part . I'm pretty sure he'll never forget this lesson.
Oh No!

I wonder if he had one of the recalled air bags?

It is good to hear that you and the DW are ok

We plowed this morning.
Snow/Sleet/Rain tomorrow.
I hope you are keeping ahead of it!

I am baking the Asiago Rosemary bread again today. This time am using asiago instead of romano. It smells very good already at the first rise!
