I'll see what I can find in higher protein for them. They're pullets, so haven't molted yet. They only started laying here a month ago.

Guess I'm just lucky, I feed the same year round. All the Poulin layer they want, BOSS snack in the morning, scratch snack in the evening. Never have had a problem with feather pickers other than apparently some of the girls seem to think the muffs and beards are unladylike. Never peck any other feathers.

Well, the 2 BOs had started in again on the 2 RIRs in with them, so I pulled them both and put them in the cage and put the severe wounded RIR back in with her sisters. Let's see if the sisters leave her alone... If the RIR's can live in peace, the BO's are history.

Caught a chill this evening doing goat chores. Even with the heat turned up to 72 I couldn't get rid of it so I broke down and started the wood stove. Heat is now turned down to 64 and is registering 75, and the chill is no more. It's not terribly cold but it's damp and the wind was stiff out of the NW. 43 now but feels a lot colder. low tonight of ~34.
