The Old Folks Home

No wonder there is fast weight loss at first, there are nearly 0 calories the first week! Gonna take some fortitude to make it to week two. How does one even have the energy to get out of bed and to the kitchen for "food"? Or do they keep you in the hospital and bring the "food" to you?

:hugs @superchemicalgirl, it's going to be hard.
Part of the success for this surgery is they are removing the part of the stommach that excretes the "I am Hungry" signal.... At first you HAVE to make yourself eat... The only thing you have to battle is the conditioning you have given yourself... The reasons you eat besides being hungry.

Then there is virtually No room for Empty calories... And once on solid foods again you need to stick to a High protien low carb menue.... LOL.

Still alive, still shivering, still gurgly. BF built her a fire in the woodstove that's down there this morning. When I got home from work she was still shivering, so I lowered the heat lamp as much as I dared, refilled the stove to full, and now the temperature of the brooder is fast approaching the temperature of the sun and she's still head tucked under her wing and shivering. She did eat about a quarter of a scrambled egg with gusto.

Her eyes are glazed over and she's still unsteady on her feet, but I don't know what's wrong with her.

If the little snot is faking this to stay inside, I'm going to be pissed.
