I'm nowhere near Detroit, but you're welcome to come.

Ok... so I was supposed to be going back "home" to Maryland where my sister had hired a Serious Bigfoot Researcher to conduct a hunt with high tech acoustics.
In preparation I borrowed a Chewbacca costume, collected some dog, goat and cat fur, obtained a Bigfoot call and read up on the tree-whacking noises they make.
My sister was appalled when I told her I was trying to get an outfit. She didn't want me to embarrass her or the SBR (seriously) so I didn't tell her about all the stuff I got.
Anyway, it's now cancelled due to rain they're getting and rescheduled to next weekend.
I'm disappointed to say the least. Now I am headed to see my sister and nieces and great-Aunt without a (hairy) spring in my step.
Meanwhile we're getting 20 to 30 inches of snow the day I'm supposed to fly back so I'm likely going to get stuck in my layover (Detroit). Anyone near there want a house guest Sunday night?
While I was doing laundry and in between chores today, I finished stitching out the quilt that was on my frame. It's only cotton batting, so it doesn't have a lot of poof, and doesn't show off the quilting. The fabric is supposed to be the highlight - the butterflies are made from fabric from the family and were hand stitched by grandma and then someone made it into a quilt that has been sitting for a while. I offered to quilt it. Hope they like it. I still need to bind it but my flight leaves at 6 am and it's 90 minutes away so I'm going to be intelligent and leave it for later.

I've three times had human poo brought to me (or a picture of it). This is what we do.
Likely to be snowing there too! How's Detroit this time of year? I'm likely to be stuck there for at least a day, weather wise, too.
Time for some CHICKS! Though I'm not sure how to integrate new birds in with vultures. So I'll end up with 2 birds left with ~60-80 square feet of space for them to play in.
Made it up to 10°F today .... from -10°F.It's 12 here currently. About to take Ripley for a very frigid walk.
I still think they need ears.LAMANCHAS!

Wait, you are flying from Bangor to (I ASSUME) Baltimore and have to go through Detroit?Meanwhile we're getting 20 to 30 inches of snow the day I'm supposed to fly back so I'm likely going to get stuck in my layover (Detroit).
Those are seriously fancy!I've seen videos with people doing this, but this class teaches it step by step, in time for Valentines Day.
even the expreienced surfers are Cautious But It doesnt keep them out.... Some will surf the Center of the pier between the pilings....Staying away from rip currents is VERY good advice!
