The Old Folks Home

The new thing at tsa is you can't have food in your carryon now, you have to take it out for separate x Ray like your shoes and electronic devices.
It wasn't like this on the way down so not sure what's changed in the last few days.
I told bf via text and our conversation has gone like this:
Him:Reese's peanut butter bombs.
Me:Scatter bomb Skittles.
...Mr goodbomb
Whatchamabombit
Blowup pops
C(4)rackle

I can't wait to go home and be with people that are odd in my kind of odd.

Thanks for all of you being my kind of odd, too.

Reeses blown to pieces! We had temps in the low 20's and wind in the 20's gusting into the 30's all night; Critter woke me up (repeatedly) to go out and see the moon turning red (it was directly overhead). For here, that's major brrr.

@Beer can You can keep that kind of cold, thank you; it's one thing this Yankee transplant doesn't miss.

@superchemicalgirl I hope the rest of your trip goes smoothly. Maybe the delay is because of a bag of Hershey's Kiss Your (something) Goodbye's?

:fl Maybe the JFK flight will be delayed just enough.

-6, -20+ wind chill , if it wasn't for the birds I would've stayed inside today.
If it wasn't for DA DD2 going off the road AGAIN! on the way to work I would not have gone out at 8 AM in -11°F to help DW shovel out her car to go deal with the DA daughter.

This is the THIRD time she's gone off the road, needing to be pulled out, twice last year. 1st one damaged the front end but it was drivable, some good Samaritan with a truck pulled her out. Had a repair appointment 3 months out. 2nd time she didn't make it 3 miles from home, car towed to the repair place, cost her about $850.

And let's not forget that JUST last week she tapped the hitch on a truck in front of her (cracked her new bumper but apparently he didn't even notice) and nearly went off the road avoiding running into the back of another car a while later. I think we should have skipped college and sent her to winter driving school. She clearly can't figure out that you need to go SLOW and leave a lot of DISTANCE between you and the vehicle in front. This time not only did she go off the road (and apparently couldn't get out of the car so I imagine a goodly percentage of the front was buried in a snowbank. She managed to rear end a lady in the process.

DW said it was on a curve and not a good place to be. The towing company (called by AAA) picked up the car, turned around and left. She figured they would stop and ask where she wanted the car. She only had the name on the truck. I found them via Google, two locations so I called the one closest to Cambridge (12 miles east of us and where she crashed) Nope, didn't pick it up but he called their other location and they have it. 5 miles north of us. Not sure why AAA didn't call in the closer truck, maybe they were busy.
