The Old Folks Home

micro, it's nice to see you. Sorry about the loss of your dogs. :hugs:hugs Take the time you need to heal. I agree about them leaving a hole where their paw prints once were.

When I was younger, my grandmother made a comment that there were only 3 of her friends left, from what was once a group of about 25 ladies. I asked about her Sunday school group, and quilting group. She explained that yes, there were quite a few members that attended both groups, but they were all younger than her, and her 3 friends. Yes, several were nice enough, but there was enough of an age gap, and they really didn't have much of anything in common. I tried, but for the life of me, I had no idea how to find a group of 80+ year old women, to give her a pool to make friends from.

At that time, unlimited long distance had become part of a package plan, so I suggested she begin calling to talk to family members, and long distance friends, and I picked up the long distance charges. That helped her a lot.

I can say I did not fully understand back then, but I knew it was important. Now, I'm starting to understand more, and more what she was talking about. A huge advantage we have now, is the internet.

Considering I had to hoof it to my next gate I wasn't surprised my luggage didn't make it. not delta's fault.
Didn't you say that you went to Portland, ME and your luggage went to Detroit? I think that is kinda their fault. Oddly, when my luggage hasn't gotten to my destination with me it was when I had a longer layover. I've been surprised at times that my luggage ran just as fast as I did to get to a plane.

2 dogs in 6 weeks
 :th
Oh Micro, how awful. You have had too much in the past few months to last years and now this.
