Well if i moved the dressers out of my bedroom i could put the sewing machine in there.

A she shed would work. Put a good sized window unit for AC, and heat, an overstuffed sofa for guests and naps, a big tv on the wall of it, and lets not forget the sewing machine, cabinets, shelves, and drawers for all the sewing stuff.....

We have a lofted ceiling, i was considering putting a room up there , but i think hubby would veto that.

Um, Beer?? That would be "connect the red to the booster battery, the other red to the battery to be jumped. Then connect the black to the booster battery and the other end to bare metal on the vehicle to be jumped. Though I will admit I've often not had a lot of luck with that last step and have connected to the other battery.
Reverse steps to remove the cables.

I don't know the 'right' way, but have heard it Lol!
We just go by red positive black negative connect both batteries, ( AND, of course touch the cables , ark them once and make sparks , .. for fun? Make sure good connection? IDK? but have to make some sparks )
And then run into, no visible battery , just charging/jumping posts?, battery is in the fender well in front of front tire ...
