I once asked why I was being taxed so high on a tiny leaky shed... I was told if they didn't tax buildings that leaked then they would get zero taxes.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or not...

And it is often seen as "the oil money" since you betcha...that is where most of the revenue comes from. So the higher the price of a barrel of crude. The more money we get.....

Price of oil has been down lately so I guess AK is making less money. Don't notice people complaining about the price of gas dropping as they run out to buy an SUV.

still have quite a few folks with Hummers - imagine the gas they use plus damage to streets etc.

My brother has a Tesla and is finding out electricity is darn expensive.

Balance as ......................................... recall the first year handed out we all got 1000.00 I think that really stinks Alaskan but knew I would not retire there ....
We had the dodge caravan 99 BF took darn good care of it started having to replace a few things now Kia Soul and like it hauls chicken feed, dog feed and shavings just fine.. The Son drives a F150 for anything big
