The Old Folks Home

Have thought often of solar panels on our roof we need to redo it then will add them charge our pud for extra we produce
How old is your house... Roof bones have to be taken into consideration. I prefer the idea of doing them on their own structure like a patio roof.... Two birds with one Photovoltaic.... Badd pun.

Cap I have not tied a quilt.....yet.

SGC. It gets even more intimidating when I think about it being a larger than King sized quilt when it is finished. My quilting hoop is a big oval floor stand that DH got me for Christmas. I've hand quilted twin sized before and they have gone pretty quickly. Of course I've just used a simple 'diamond' pattern.

I did get pics of the 7 square I have done along with the fabric I'm using. Just got to upload. But first, off to the deep freeze to take care of the noodle brains.

Considering Solar. Neighbor went with 9 commercial grade solar panels that he mounted on his barn roof. The inverter is pretty impressive. Unfortunately, he is learning that the system isn't providing enough power for his family of 15 and is considering adding a wind driven system. DH tried to warn him that he would be amazed at how much more power he would need but as the old saying goes, can't put an old head on young shoulders.

We would like to put in a wind driven system to supplement but even those are pretty cashy. Of course one thing we have a lot of here is wind.

Or peeling potatoes.....

Sorry to hear that you and BF are feeling puny. They told me that the flu was just ramping up here. I decided to get it early and save the rush. Feel better, but I know working in a hospital, that's hard to do.

So here is a sample of the embroidered squares and the material I'm working with.

@perchie.girl if you are brave enough to be curious about the diet, look up gout diet and anti-inflammatory diets for a good laugh. I'm sitting here munching on raw broccoli as an appetizer waiting for dinner to get finished.
