The Old Folks Home

Morning everyone!

@CapricornFarm congratulations on getting the quilt top done. Lots of work and love there. Same for SGC's NICU quilts. I started on square #10 for my folk farm quilt. Only one more to go after this one and I can start constructing the top.

We had interesting weather here yesterday afternoon. We have to keep an eye on the radar whenever there are thunderstorms around so we can disconnect our lightening rods..aka radio antennas. Even with ground wires there is a real hazard associated with them. We knew that there was a storm in the area but we were surprised when hail arrived along with light rain. It hailed for 10 minutes or more, pea to marble sized hail that quickly covered the ground and piled up in the bare areas until it looked like snow. It was still melting off at sunset. Just really strange weather and the noise with a metal roof was deafening.

scg, I know it was wrong of them to assume things, without consulting you, but you really do like working on the headstones, you know what you're doing, and do such a fantastic job with them. It might be right up your alley, and you might enjoy it. It might be one of those "who'd a thought" type things....
