I got an email from a friend back in IL. They had 3 inches of snow last weekend. Snicker snicker. So cold wind is no problem.
At least 4" in my part of Illinois. The next day was in the 50's and it all melted away.

@Gargoyle, welcome to the thread!
Since we're all old here, maybe this will be appreciated...

Gargoyle, haven't been to Fox Valley (mall) since I was pg in 1985. I was trying on maternity clothes at Sears. When I came out some strange guy said "OH,I thought you'd model them for me." creepy I left as fast as my petite little legs would carry me.

Looks beautiful! but :sick
all melted here and hopefully stays that way. No guarantees though, we never plant garden other than cold hardy stuff until Memorial weekend.

It is April... so normal-ish..

But I am feeling grumpy about it anyway. :tongue

It is now blizzarding. .... nasty snow devils whirling about.... it sucked to walk in it...and I am wondering if I need to PLOW before morning! :barnie

Luckily the plow is still on the truck...

You would have loved our winter Alaskan,- bitter cold even for us but, only 34 inches of snow all season . Never more than a few inches at a time. Didn't even get to build my snow biceps- which used to be very good.
