The Old Folks Home

I had an empty hard drive, so we put Windows 10 on it. I really don't like Windows 10 at all. I was a beta tester for it, and hated it. I got a free copy, and removed it. I was hoping that by the time they got ready to do away with Windows 7, they would have Windows 12, or something better. It doesn't look like that's going to happen. Dh had bought a copy for my grandson's computer. His computer bit the dust, so I decided I might as well use it.

It took 3 tries to get it in. I have my big screen tv hooked into my computer, so when I want to watch a movie, I can switch it over to the big screen. I did not unplug it when I ran the set up. I'd get to a certain point, and I'd get a black screen, BUT I could see the mouse cursor. It was trying to set up the tv as my main monitor. Unplugged the HDMI cable, so it couldn't find the big screen tv, and it went just fine after that.

For the next few days, I'll be fussing, fuming, pulling hair out, growling, and a few other things, until I get it all set up, and customized the way I want it. For now, I'm going to shut it down, plug in my other hard drives, printer, scanner, etc., and pray it all works. Be back later....

Thanks everyone. SGC my humble quilt can't hold a candle to your work. :bow And I'm in complete agreement with her, Penny. I've seen some of your work along with Cap's. We all have our own light to shine!

I spent time this afternoon on line looking for backing cloth that I could use that had a pattern that I could use to quilt without having to do a lot of lay out and marking. The front runner was a hexagon print that looked like chicken wire. May have to see what I can come up with using that idea.

@Alaskan, Spent two months just deciding on the pattern. A block quilt is fast and easy. DH kept asking me if I was going to make a quilt called 'light in the valley' When I got done laughing I went to work on my project.

Definitely not calming to look at....I like the one you picked better.

If you think for one minute that I'd go through 2 surgeries, to end up with half my foot amputated, which could have been prevented by a few leeches, I'd go for the leeches.
Me too!

I put it into a spoiler!
Which just BEGS to be opened!

Yellow is the guitar, blue are latestarter
DOH!!!! Somehow in my haste to try and catch up I skimmed past the first picture and kept looking for the guitar in the second :th

When his back was turned, she got the hammer, and began smashing the tubes to further investigate those bubbles.
:gig:lau
Oh, sorry.

I hope DH was more happy to have a new level than he was upset at the rugrat destroying the other. I guess he can still use it as a straight edge.
