The Old Folks Home

Yep.... I don't like the bald eagle either...

BUT, even if I could change it to something else... I am not sure what I would pick.

Maybe a Shrike. They hunt, and store feed for later so you get some of the militant, strong stuff.

But they are small.... :idunno So not really a good national symbol.

Peregrine Falcons are very cool and fast etc. But again small... not sure that portrays the right impression you want for a national symbol.
With the direction the country is headed perhaps a loon would be quite representative. :D

Naaaaah.

You want the symbol to represent whatever it is that you want to ASPIRE to, or whatever it is that you hope the country will head towards... or whatever. The goal you want for the country.

No negative reality stuff.

But if you are super against any war... maybe pick a nut hatch for the country's bird. Industrious but not aggressive as far as I have seen.

If you are pro squabbles.... pick a hummingbird! :lau I think hummers must be the most argumentative bird!

Ravens are very smart and family oriented... but they are also garbage birds... and have a bunch of both positive and negative lore around them.

They are small and lazy though. Hitch rides under gooses wings to fly south for the winter. I know this is true grandpa told me so. (I know I've said this before lol)

Talk about Google spying on us, looks like our local paper from 100 yrs ago has also, 1984 "Newspeak"for sure.

Looks like we have talked about getting rid of daylight savings time for at least a hundred yrs,

And I don't know but a 100yrs ago several thousand dollars (for chickens!) was like tons of $$ .
