Yeah, but the laughter and joy has out balanced the aggravation and house being torn up. There isn't a day that goes by when then don't make us laugh and when they come into the house and crawl in our laps wanting to be cuddled and their bellies scratched, all is forgiven as far as bad habits are concerned.
So far our 5 dogs for 25$ will have somewhere like 2000$ invested in them by the time all are spayed, neutered and have all of their shots done. Shots alone have been close to 750$. But when we let them loose and see them tearing around the trails in the pasture and diving into the tall grass like porpoises, it's worth the cost at any price. They are just such amazing little animals.
Sidney has discovered the chickens. She has also discovered the hot wire. She fell over her own feet in her rush to get back to mamma for sympathy when that happened. She is now torn between cautiously approaching the fence and remembering that those chickens are armed and dangerous.
