The Old Folks Home

Scott, some of the Youtubers will do anything for any kind of attention. I keep telling my daughter, "If and when that one gets to be my age, they will look back at this and ask themselves, "what in the world was I thinking?!"

I don't know if this will make you happy or sad, relieved or glad, but that girl has many, many other videos on the web, and she is not quite as ditzy as she makes out to be on that one. It was scripted, by her. Find more at YouTube, search "hartmanncara".

I thought so..putting on an act..maybe she thinks she will be "seen" by a big Hollywood Producer! After having been posted on face book..e-harmony....... Have to say, she does pretty good bringing on the tears.

I suppose a good crier is useful, as a great screamer (for horror movies) Cat lady certainly fills the niche but if I knew I'd have to see/hear her in a movie, I would just skip it. She is just aggravating.

In just one year, Cara Hartmann—better known as the eHarmony Cat Lady—has gone from YouTube sensation to a star in a commercial for Volkswagen that will appear during Super Bowl XLVII.

The Volkswagen commercial brings together some of the most memorable YouTube videos of the past few years, highlighting people at their most upset, angry and vulnerable moments. The YouTube stars converge in a field and meet up with reggae legend Jimmy Cliff as he gives them “much needed positivity and good vibes,” because, “It’s time to get happy.”

Cara Hartmann, whose alter ego in the eHarmony Video Bio is Debbie, is the first YouTube clip that appears in the commercial and she appears three more times; at the end Jimmy Cliff refers to her as the “crazy cat hugging lady,” as she sways back and forth while holding a basket with a cat.
