Wow!

here it’s usually like $150-$200 per pet. Even at the cheap vet. Although he did give us medicines for super cheap ha but it was usually at that one and current one at least $50-$60 “office visit” charge aka just to step in the door. Then usually like $20-$30 per vaccine. Well, actually, I don’t think I’ve ever had one close to $30 but still, had some like $22, $24.50, etc. plus of course the fecal test for the cat at an extra like $30 or $40.
Although actually this last vet visit I think it was only like $112 or something I think, somewhere around there, cause they forgot to ask about the fecal test (even though I had brought the sample but they didn’t see it cause it was in a compartment in the carrier) and I wasn’t about to bring it up and be charged that much more sooo... ha It would have been less than $100 but I accidentally got suckered into buying some cat toothpaste for her for like $15 or $16. Of which it was the exact same kind I bought on Chewy.com for like $8 or $9 a few years ago but never used and forgot I had. But that was expired anyway but still. And actually, that was a better deal cause it was a lot that included two little toothbrushes. This one didn’t include those. But whatever, I need to start brushing her teeth anyway. But it’s just they said they “had some toothpaste they could give me” which I assume meant like a little sample. Didn’t think I’d have to buy it. Should have known but didn’t. But then they had already gotten it for me so I just bought it. They’re really nice anyway and I don’t want her to get dental disease so I don’t mind but still. Didn’t think it’d be so much ha I don’t think Chewy even carries the kit anymore or at least not that flavor so it’s fine. She has like a bit of calcification on the back teeth or something? I think that was the term? I might be using the wrong word. Can’t remember exactly. But she is going to be 9 next month (August) so she really is actually in quite good shape for her age.
