Cynthia, sorry to hear your son is sick. Saying prayers for him to get better fast!
Got a good amount of snow last night. Finishing up the horse chores last night was not fun after driving home in it. Blowing snow and dropping temps. We are supposed to keep getting snow through tomorrow. I am hoping that we don't have to go to work today since the drive home last night at the beginning of the storm was a little hairy going over the mountain pass. Will have to see in about an hour.
We now have two DD's, only one is DiDi, but I think the new DD, goes by Jan? Hope I am right on that.
Haven't been on for a while. On my Utah thread, but not to too many other sites on here. I have a son with Spina Bifida. He is in the hospital. That's a good thing. We have been trying to get him to go for a while. He's been just losing so much weight, really sick. Long story short. Got him to go to a dr. Then he got bad enough he went to the ER. They wanted him to stay that night for more tests, he said he would go back the next day..we got him there. They wanted to do a CT on him. He has colitis. Has had for over a month! Pretty bad. His left leg had started to swell while at home. They weren't quite sure about that..thought broken leg..it wasn't. The CT showed, he also had infection in his hip, same side as the swollen leg. And, the CT caught just the bottom of his lungs while scanning his colon. He also had pneumonia. He's been in the hospital since night before last. Two different kinds of anti-biotics. One for the pneumonia, and one for the colitis. Now, his leg was swollen ever more today..plus, blood work showed he has a very high white cell count. No surprise there. It wasn't down at all today. Hoping they can figure out the swollen leg. He is pretty much paralyzed from the waist down. He does have some feeling in his hip and thigh area. He says it hurts at night while laying still. Now, if he can feel that, there is a lot of pain going on there. He has no feeling at all from the knees down. He's in a chair. Used to walk on crutches, but as he got older, the wheelchair helped him be more independent. He gets around pretty good in that thing. He says he feels better, but we know he isn't better. Having an IV in, and giving him back some electrolytes has helped him feel better, and having water in his body sure helps. He was pretty dehydrated! Prayers for our Richard please. Thanks!
Cynthia, offering my prayers for your son and his recovery. Don't forget to look out for yourself, eat healthy and get rest, applies to your family too.

Yes, Cyn, I thought about that, too. Maybe we can call DDNONIN2016 by the shortened "Noni" or Jan when we get to know her well.
Is that okay with you, Noni?
Good and bad news on DS. Bad that he's sick and def sending prayers for him, but good that he is finally getting some help and maybe he will realize that he needs to seek medical attention before what ever is wrong gets too bad!
