The Old Folks Home

OH and he would have a comment about your wording, but trying to keep it PG as per request. LOL

Sometimes it is so hard to behave, but a request from wisher is to be honored.

Absolutely. Wisher, I promise to behave better

Oh and to answer your question about the hatching threads. I am probably not going to join in on the Easter hatch this year. If I do two hatches, I have to time them right with SCG's trip out here. I might do a hatch this month of just chickens so they will be a couple of months old by the time she gets here and can be outside. DS will be holding down the fort when we go to Bryce and Zion and there are days he forgets things so I want all the chickens outside by then. I might do a turkey hatch for a second hatch, but again I have to time it right. Of course they all have to start laying (the chickens are a bunch of slackers and the turkeys are not even a year old so I am not sure when they will start laying) before I can set eggs. I am hoping that the turkeys will be laying before SCG gets here so I can send her home with some more turkeys to hatch.

ok since I may have been the Dumb one (instead of correct word) I am sorry...snickers. But it must have worked. The thing we can't talk about, that is. Just us old folks or almost old folks.
And yes Wisher I will try and behave. It will be hard but I will try.

So much for freedom of oldtimers. laughs. That means I got to remember...... unh, what was that again.

Wolf, sorry about Bill. Been there survived that. It did screw up my first marriage but sweet Sally (first wife) hung out with me, til I got it together. It had changed me too much. We are still best friends and she is the mother of my first 2 kids.

Ok, enough on the past, cobwebs, (I had a good one but decided to let it drop earlier. (good thing or who knows what would have happened) and unmentionables.

I'm sorry, laughs.

better leave while the leaving is good...

been having too much fun!!!!!

we all need a day where the line is almost crossed. It keeps us Sharp

So, I just got home from a feed run. R &S Hay Barn just outside Placerville on Missouri Flat Road carries Nutrena AllFlock, so I don't have to drive to Sacramento for it. Although I DO miss talking with the employees at Bradshaw Feed. Later this month there will be chicks there, too. Yah, good thing I get my feed at the Hay Barn!

Miss Sparkle has laid two eggs now but she's not interested in sitting on the egg I haven't removed from her brooder bin yet. She jumps in there to lay, and sleeps perched on the edge at night.

My "gander" Angus has taken a dislike to Madge the MW Tom. No fights, just the out-stretched neck approach. Madge twirls in his display of glory and minces away. Nope, that gander doesn't scare him, no way. He planned on moving in that direction anyway. :D

A bit of bantering, a little typing and thinking, lots of laughing - yep, it's good for the elderly brain. I was once told that I would never find mine again, but in the last 20 years I think that it is regenerating.
