The Old Folks Home

So while I am much much older than SCG, I'm not quite ready for the old folks home.. SCG informed me that membership in this thread wasn't so much about age as it was cognitive maturity and invited me to join you full time.. Somehow I have given her the erroneous illusion that I don't belong in a looney bin with my arms strapped to my sides... (obviously she has never participated in an elucidating discourse with my MIL who would probably volunteer quite willingly to testify about my need for a padded room, restraints and medication) that being said, I look forward to additional interaction with all of you (supervised by the men in white of course) Oh look!! a chicken!!

I'm just buttering you up so I get eggs out of you.

Glad I can make you feel young.

I've worn diapers in the past 6 months, think everyone needs to pull up their pants and grow up (except us), and generally have the short term memory of a gnat. I fit in, regardless of age. Besides, I aged at least 10 years on my flight home Saturday.

SCG that plane could have been smaller, just sayin'

Sometimes you can't even fit in 'em

So glad the quote thing worked

Wolfie,
I'll be happy to set you up with some front yard litter-box planters. I'm quite good at drilling holes in them and arranging them in an eye-pleasing fashion. I could probably make a raised bed/hoop house for you (although I suspect with your weather that would cook your plants) but I sure as heck can't build a cold frame. I got BF a "garden projects" book - I think it was Black and Decker - and it had the design for the cold frame in there. It takes a sheet of plywood and requires all kinds of crazy cuts and pipe clamps for assembly. Ex husband used to call me 3D-tarded and I don't think he's far off.
I could certainly send you the plans, though, if you're interested in it and want to try. You will have to promise to post pictures of your finished product, though ;)

No, no, no! Do you two know nothing of aerodynamics and the shape of a foil? Strapping you to the top or bottom would never work. Besides it would definitely screw up the CG.

Yeah I'm good at drilling those too. LOL I buy dish pans from the dollar store and plant away. I only have one raised bed made and I nailed it, so oops. I have to add wood to the corners now. LOL Nothing coming out, but just in case. I used 2x4s in the inside corners and I'm supposed to be adding something, maybe gutters?? around at least 2 sides for anything I plant that hangs. I can also add my cover when I need it, that I made from PVC, to turn it into a winter greenhouse. Other than that, my backyard at the moment is barren. I've finally turned the whole thing. I want a LAWN! To many grand kids for no room to play out there and I like lawn, but I'm looking for something to plant all the way down the one side that has a 4ft cyclone fence. I want it to grow taller, so I have privacy if nothing else, so I'm going to be looking to see what plants I want there. One I get in some flowers again, I can incorporate veggies and fruits with them. I need more grapes though. Nothing I started in the fall started. Nothing! Not flowers, not the grapes. I can always get things to start. I have one seedless green grape and I want at least 2 more and some red ones too. I may have to hit up the land at the flea market that I got his one from. Should have had about 10 growing. I hate to think my green thumb is turning brown.
