The Old Folks Home

Yes, thank you Bitter, Reiki is on our list as well. We have to find what insurance will cover and after that, what we can afford. You may or may not like the miracle noodles, you have to learn how to "deal" with them. They must be washed, dried somewhat and soaked in whatever juices you have flowing for at least a few minutes, the longer, the better. The good thing is, they do not get mushy like pasta, you can let them go for a half hour or more, haven't gone longer yet, still experimenting. Might be good in a long cooking casserole. Who knows, it is new to me too. Will keep letting you know how it goes, but def worth a try. Thanks for the input!

Somehow I am reminded of sparrow soup-- that soup made from the birds' nests. lol I would definitely give this a try. I am trying to lose a little more weight ( half way to goal) and eat only 30 carbs a day, so every carb counts. I would definitely try these noodles.

I am also reminded of another PhD I knew, she is Nor wegian and cross country skied all winter long. She suffered from migraines and used meditation to control them. I do think meditation is beneficial to a number of problems. Not sure if it is applicable to your husbands specific issues. Maybe more toward pain management.

Garden is going in. Broccali raab, beets, spinach, beets, turnips, peas, beans, lettuce, parsnips, carrots, and I'm sure I've forgotten a few. Can feed much of this to the chooks if they don't raid the garden first!!

Brussel sprouts and hamburgers for dinner. Kids haviing potato wedges. DH made dinner!! Yeah, Now if he could do the dishes, too.

I'm so jealous of your garden! We're still having winter here.

Quote: I'm trying an experiment. I read last night that bush beans are cold tolerant, which pole beans are not. 3 5 foot rows of three different bush beans. In 3 weeks , I'll plant an adjacent row and see which performs better.

Still very cool here some nights;it can't decide if winter is really over.
