The Old Folks Home

Yogurt! Make yogurt in your crockpot with your milk. I bet it would be awesome. If you don't like yogurt, the chickens will!

Yum! That sounds so good! I love yogurt! Strawberries are in season now and I love them with milk or yogurt.

I wanted to tell you about this rooster I brought home from the Linconton Chickenstock last week. I wanted a crele rooster to work on a crele cochin project that I have in mind. I found a frizzle Serama crele rooster that is really cute. Well he is in quarantine for about 4 weeks in a large cage on the porch of my garden shed. Well, he seems very healthy and tame, but I have noticed that when he goes to sleep at night, he snores! His snore sounds like a cartoon snore and I just love him to pieces.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a funny name for him?

Does he REALLY snore? I didn't know chickens could do that. Maybe he needs his adenoids/tonsils removed

I swear he really does snore! I could not believe my ears. I will try to get a photo of him so you can see what a handsome fellow he is.

I might need to have him to go for a sleep study!

Maybe he is allergic to chickens!

He might be an old man rooster, I will know when I get him out of quarantine and put him with one of my hens. I could name him Hugh Hefner.

Sleep apnea a la rooster!

Here are the newest additions to my waterfowl flock. First, the box in which the 3 goslings and 8 Barred Rock chicks (presumably all male) arrived.

.
Linda I think barred rock girls have white dots on their heads? At least the two I bought from the feed store did. Keeping fingers crossed that you have some girls in that group.

Thanks for the idea! I love yogurt!! That is another reason to get real milk. I had been buying lots of yogurt and then read the label. I don't buy that yogurt anymore. So much to learn.
