The Old Folks Home

Quote: Oh yes they hang together!! Playing in the woods all winter, taking turns chopping down trees ( clearing for pasture.) Plenty of opportunity for the buggers to jump on. And dang, they are tiny.

Quote: Yup-- we do know our kids best. THankfully this doc has been a dream to work with after my last 2 pediatric primaries. Started with this doc from UMASS little over a year ago.

Sorry for interupting the conversation with another topic.

I was right!!! Took DS for physical yesterday and asked for Lymes testing. DOc was great but said usually the testing is inconclusive with out symptoms. I didn't have any specifics just a mothers intuition, something has been brewing for a long time. He's "off". Doc called today with results-- POSITIVE. Starts meds tonight!! Now do I dare suggest my other son should be tested too . . .
If you don't have them already....it sounds like Guineas could be in your future. I had read a story about a woman who had contracted lyme disease twice and her grandchildren had all gotten as well has her dog. She raised a few guineas and not only did they clean up the ticks in her yard but cleaned up her neighbors. They are loud I know but I figure you get a exterminator and security system all wrapped into one.

Do you think the little jerk is trying to figure out how to turn the zapper off so he can get the food safely? He's smart enough to not go IN the zapper. Sigh.
What are you baiting it with? The Costco dry cat food with Fishmeal and salmon meal catches them at my place.

Are you going to try to get it with the pellet gun? Looks like a great shot there!

Want to send me a care package of Costco Cat Food?

Tried baiting with:
Dry Science Diet Cat Food
Regular chicken food
chocolate
peanut butter
peanut butter and bread
peanut butter and jelly
granola bar
candied pineapple

Rats are smart buggers. HOping to get pet, PET rats for the kids, like a hooded rat.

Hate to say it SCG, I finally resorted to poison, but that was BEFORE free ranging chickens. I only have 3 chipmunks these days, as the chickens seem to effect the population.
