The Old Folks Home

I hope you find the chick. Broodies a flaky sometimes. I had one this week act like she was going to take in the chicks I was trying to give her and she kept them warm all night. In the morning, as soon as I opened the Kennel door she frantically jumped out and ran for the nest box. The chicks were in the corner of the Brooder and fine so I moved them into the brooder with the others.

I was worried that The Broody would keep trying to hatch the golf balls but she jumped off of them the next day and has rejoined the flock.

She had a tale to tell to the other biddies.

"You should have seen the ugly chicks that hatched from those dimpled eggs! LAWD! They were ugly, and sounded funny and smelled bad! They were so creepy! They just APPEARED out of nowhere, without a sound. I thought about trying again, and even went back to the nest for a bit, but then I realized that the only eggs left were more of the dimpled ones and just didn't think my heart could stand the shock of more of those little monsters. I came home to roost, I'm done with raising kids for a while! Whew!"

make sure you give them traditional names. The basque region is where the "ez" names come from. The Gomez, Sanchez, Ramirez and so on all originate from that area of Spain.
