We are so lucky we found good employees to take care of the place. The last couple we had were OK but the woman was a seriously bad cook but her husband was incredible with the garden - the place really looked like a resort. The couple before that robbed us blind. Bernie is OK with the garden but great with the animals and Analou is well educated and adventurous with her cooking = she is keen to watch and learn from me.

Picked blueberries earlier this week and turned some into spiced jam. Today I made a pie (and the crust).

Gotta go picking some more blackberries, probably early tomorrow morning. I'll probably make a blackberry cobbler or crisp in the next few days.

BF made some rooster stew tonight and I am in the process of making bread.

I love food.
