The Old Folks Home

I posted a thank you for the welcome since I'm also a learner don't know what happened. I may have to do it again I'll see.

There you go! You'll get the hang of it in no time, and next thing you know, you'll be a "flock master" and you'll be wondering, "how did that happen? Did I really say all that??!"

No worries, P-hen, by the time you have a hundred or so posts, it will be "old hat" to you! If you need help navigating BYC, just ask, anyone will be happy to help.

LOL! Bunny beat me to it! She's a fast typer with those furry little paws of hers........

Welcome to all the new "members"! Glad to see you all step up and join the fun! Now, you might hear mention of custom fitted straight jackets. Yes, some of us have them

but they are by no means required. In fact, it is my understanding that our group seamstress/chemist is no longer in the straight jacket making business (darn the luck for you newbies!). Just sayin...

Clear the editor deletes everything you've written or quoted in the reply box.

Preview previews the post before it's posted so you can see what it looks like before it is added to the thread as a reply. It's pretty worthless unless you're adding a lot of photos and you want to make sure it looks right to everyone else.

Hi everyone! I'm not retired, yet. Hubby and I run a small business. We live in the woods in central WI with 2 dogs and 25 chickens. (I can't believe I just admitted to the number of chickens)

Mind if I pull up a chair and hang out a bit?

Now, now. Don't scare the new guys, just yet. Let them get comfortable with the thread and us, and then we'll show our psychoses.

I am trying to figure out my new sewing project. Just finished superhero masks and capes for the kids. The sewing machine is on the table over there, mocking me... calling me.

I did buy material for a fancy apron a few months back before I got sidetracked with other projects but I've lost the website tutorial for it. I'd also like to make a quilt (with some off fabric like you're sending me) but I need someone to show me how to do that, first. I've asked the neighbor repeatedly who promises to do it, but her two young kids have turned her brain to mashed potatoes and she has no free time. I just slept off my overnight shift (day is night, night is day) and I dreamt that I made some baby clothes for a friend of mine. Unless she wants a baby straitjacket I think that's probably not in my current skill set.
