Welcome spurs!
Insanity, so glad to hear you were able to rescue some of them. As far as getting them used to people, just do as someone (sorry I forget who, I am allowed some CRS today

) suggested. Just move slowly and quietly around them. It will take them a long time but eventually they will at least not be as skittish. I don't handle my birds much so none of them are "lap birds" but they will get underfoot when I have the treats

. I do have a few that really don't mind me touching them but none of them are happy about being picked up. I am fine with that since I am learning I really have to teach SOME animals to respect my space. Right SCG?

Last week the little stinker stole 6 of my bantams including my silkie, frizzle, and all but 1 of my D'Uccle hens. That's why I i got the unwanted hens
Always come on in

I meant the story after you got the little fink in your trap. There's always a good story after "so I caught a skunk in a trap..."

I am fine with that since I am learning I really have to teach SOME animals to respect my space. Right SCG?

Thanx. DH and DD brought Diego and Dora (also Boots, but he died) home from the flea market Easter before last and the BOs and reds from Tractor supply the following Easter with the intention of raising them for eggs and food. They both gave up after Diego went all Bruce Lee on them, and the flock became my responsibility. Every google I did to learn about chickens led me here to BYC, So I joined. My brain is so full now of all the stuff I'm learning from yall that it feels sometimes like it's gonna explode. There's so much to learn. So much I didn't know. It's nice to find a spot to put up my feet and just breathe and enjoy my chickens.
