Well ya'll I have failed, I was dissmissed from the nursing program for being at a facility in full uniform that i was not assigned to. I am so dissapointed. I guess I am back to being a stay at home mom addicted to chickens. Ya'll ready to have me back full time?

Ya well oz that is the truth. They ate me up and spit me out and then rubbed it in by stating that maybe I should have re thought the nurses program to begin with because it sounds like I chose the program over my dying mother. That was ridiculous. But they have not heard the last from me. I am filing a grievance tomorrow.

Oh I am going to, I went over the handbook and no where in there does it state this supposed rule, even if I do not get in maybe God has other plans for me, bigger and better things.

I have very good friends in Bali that attend the most amazing ceremonies.

Same here. I'm also utterly fascinated by religion, even though I'm an athiest, and I also have a really intense WWII fascination - most specifically Nazi policies, eugenics and human interactions/nature. The combination of human behavior with ethics really makes me think, and I like that.

You haven't failed. You just didn't find the right program. I'm still a bit confused about what exactly happened to get you dismissed, but I won't pry. I'm sure there are other places nearby that offer the program if your grievance goes no where. Don't give up on yourself unless you want to give up on nursing. And don't make that decision while you're still angry and upset.

Oh, they would get more than a grievance filed from me! They have no right nor any invitation to voice opinions on personal decisions you made that had nothing to do with them. THE NERVE of that statement is beyond belief. Not only was it unprofessional, but mean spirited and cruel. When that happens to me, I come up swinging (figuratively, not literally, although I could handle that as well.) I would go to the superior of the one(s) that made that snide comment and demand an apology and immediate reinstatement on the grounds that there is no rule against what you did, and that obviously, there is some personal reason that you were dismissed. If you don't get anywhere with them, start spreading the word that the program treated you unfairly and see if you can't get their attention that way.
