The Old Folks Home

I read an article yesterday about pullet eggs being sold in New York. They are from local Organic Farmers. They have convinced people that the pullet eggs taste better because they are from young chickens.

It was so funny! The eggs from my Three year old hens do not taste different from the 8 month old hens. It is how they are raised and fed!

It was so silly to read that article.
when your selling the same spheroid white product that everyone else is, you have to find an edge. cage free, free range, organic and now pullet

I have four turkeys in my flock with fifty chickens (or so) and 20-some ducks. Plus five geese. No problems with blackhead.

There are also a zillion wild turkeys here-abouts.

Is there anyway to know if you have blackhead BEFORE I go out and buy turkeys? I would love to have two Bourbon Reds but I have never heard of blackhead until I joined BYC.
