Speaking of horse shows (weren't we?

) I have to say I am so proud of how well my horse is doing at her first A rated show. She came in 5th in her first class out of a field of almost 50 horses (not too shabby) and got her first blue ribbon today. Allie has a ton of talent but I also give a ton of credit to the highly skilled young lady riding her. Cammi has been training Allie in jumping for less than a year and has brought her a long way already.

I'm trying to remember - did you say Allie is home bred? You have every right to be proud of her!

The woman I bought her mom from did the breeding. Hagar she is actually a Knabstrupper. Knabstruppers are a Danish warmblood breed of color. Her father is full blooded imported from Germany. There are very few Knabstruppers in the U.S. but they are becoming more popular as their breed becomes better known. Her mother is registered with a few different registries but is mainly thoroughbred and appaloosa. She has quite a few jumpers in her lines from her mother's side of the family and her father does some jumping as well although his owner works him mainly in dressage. If you look up Altamont Sport Horses you will see her sire Atlantis.

Actually OZ has like 500 million chicks/ducks/pigs/ whatever hatching ALL THE TIME, it gets to be a little ho hum. The pink basket was attractive tho.
