I guess you buy the little kids pre-k sock size maybe 8 ish and cut the foot part off and hem the cut end and slip it over your hand and pick up the rooster and slip it over his head and pull it down so it covers his whole neck and the area of his air sac I know that is what they are talking about. You can read about them all trying it on the Alabama thread or on the Sounds of silence thread. I am going to try the socks. I hope it works. They think if you get a young cockerel that has never crowed that it may work better. Some say say it muffles the sound of the crow so much that you can hardly hear the crow.

I have been very encouraged about the Sound of Silence thread. The last few pages said they have much better luck with plain Industrial Strength Velcro 2" wide It's stiff enough but they can eat and etc. On the sock thing I think they are sewing 1/2" wide velcro cable ties to the sock. Three of them from what I can tell. If you have luck with just the plain sock let us know. Inquiring minds, yada, yada.
