The Old Folks Home

Do you pray? If so, please pray for my mentally handicapped sister. She has been living in a special home. They went swimming at a lake here. She was found listless in the water. She wasn't breathing, someone got her to start breathing a bit until the medics got there. She is inti bated and has a breathing tube. The dr. gave us all of the different scenarios. 72 hrs. they will know better how she will be. She was still unconscious. I can't believe this happened. There will be an investigation.

I got my APA membership card in the mail yesterday, and the yearbook. It's a nice yearbook, filled with a lot of information. Now I will order my SOP book. I also got a phone call, and they took my information to schedule my chickens for NPIP testing. My daughter is coming over later, and is going to help me do a shake and bake on my flock, and trim my rooster's spurs, which reminds me that I need to put my Dremel on the charger. I made baked crab meat for DH last night. He hates shrimp, and lobster, so I've made it for me, and the kids when they've visited, and he was at work, but never when he was home. Call him Mikey, he liked it, and went for seconds.
Mmm, crab. Here we only get crayfish, the season started a few days ago. I envy the lobsters and crabs that people in some places get to eat. Or envy the people. Not the crustaceans.

A very strange thing happened here this morning. Things were wet outside.

No, it did not rain...we reached Dew point! There was Dew today. The windshield on the car was even wet.

We almost never reach dew point in the summer.

Sadly the cool weather will come to an end soon. Temps will be up to 100 this weekend again. That is real 100, not real feel 100.

That's one thing I don't understand about yank weather, always with the real feel or windchill aspect. Somehow I think it might be because us Celsius people associate temperature so strongly with what form water takes in the temperature, while the Fahrenheit scale has a bit different way of looking at things.
