The Old Folks Home

@LindaB220 No problem, if it's good, you can send a thank you letter to the Finnish beekeepers association

Morning discussion with Karin over breakfast: "Oh, someone on BYC had made honey." "No." "It looked pretty nice." "No." "Didn't even seem that difficult." "No. You are not getting bees."

Saw you coming, did she?
I was referribg to the ethanol in the mead recipe that you said sounded like it was cooked ip by a frat. In other words, I was trying to be funny. I've noticed that my jokes often require explaining. Perhaps I'm just trying too hard.

Yeah, she did. Miles away.
So Vehve is a guy? Married to Karin?
Yes to the first part, no to the second. We have been living in sin close to ten years now.
Well, no one gets married here anymore. (better say lots of people don't) Sometimes if the kids start coming, but not always then. Anyway, after that long she is definitely your "significant other" or common law wife. Who cares? Where in Australia is your city? : )

Nowhere, different continent entirely. You're actually almost as far off as possible

I live in Kirkkonummi, 20 kilometers west of Helsinki, the capitol of Finland, the country located in Scandinavia, between Sweden and Russia, in northern Europe. The country where Nokia, Linux and great hockey players originate from. Interesting facts about Finland include it being the actual place where Santa Claus lives (none of that North Pole nonsense), and we have the highest per capita consumption of dairy products and coffee in the world.

*Edited to clean up a bit

I have to learn how to reply without including all the previous stuff and still indicate what post the response goes with! I also would like to know how to put pictures on here to show off my "mutts". Help?? : )

There's something in the settings about only showing the last quote, and the pictures you can add by clicking the button with a little landscape on it, that will open a image adding wizard.

When I quote using internet explorer, it only puts the last post in. If I use Mozilla, it puts all the posts in. Not sure what the difference is or why. You can still highlight all you don't want to include and hit delete.

You have to go to your profile and upload pictures into one of your albums or you can just hit the picture icon at the top of the reply box and pic a picture straight from a file on your computer.

ChickenCanoe, I haven't skied at Sundance. Of course we all know it is famous for the film festival. I guess it is not uncommon to run across famous people in the area. There are three different ways to get to the falls. One shorter hike near the houses in Sundance, one taking a ski lift up close to where the falls are and the option I took. A two mile hike from the trailhead to the falls. The hike was really nice and I am glad I took the longest route. It was probably less crowded than the shorter hike but it still was fairly active. All of my skiing so far has been at the resorts in either Little or Big Cottonwood canyon. Both of these have been a great place for hiking for me this summer as well. Now that I finished school, I can get out at least once a weekend day for a great hike if I want.

Drove to pick up Silver Campines this past weekend. I took eight, and came back with seven. I am as happy as I can be with the birds I picked up and I hope she is as happy with her's. I found my room mate for The Nationals.... Columbus, here I come!
That is great Wisher congratulations on getting the new SC and a room mate for the Nationals!
