That's great! I feel so bad for my birds knowing they are so hot and panting so hard and some crying out from the heat! When it is extremely hot I go out and cool them down several times a day!

Actually I bought It for the storeroom. It is uninsulated and even with A/C it still gets over 100 in there. I've got new hatchlings coming this week and want to keep them warm but not cooked.

For my babies outside, I can't do the mister because of the humidity. But I do run a garden hose over them quickly a couple times a day. Cools them off and they are under the shade after 10 am. A little shade before. I have 12 that are starting to lay and I'm up to 5 eggs a day. Small but they are getting bigger.

if u want to move to alabama there is a nice 2400sq ft home on 10 acres close to my house. It has a big metal shop, man cave with a bar and pool table, and a fully stocked spring fed fish pond.

oh my goodness. At what price? Please dont let my hubby know if it is reasonable. Wheres the woman cave?

I have not been to a Mc Donalds in a long time. The smell makes me feel bad now.

Luckily we have In and Out Burgers here. They are all fresh meat and you can watch them making frys from fresh potatoes from the drive through.

I grew up in Covina. One of the first places I hit when I get to CA is IN and OUT. No matter how long I have been away I am not home until I have a burger and fries!

My mom was one of the strongest women I've ever known, a 4'11" Irish ball of nitro. She definitely ran our household. My dad was totally whipped and totally smitten. She wasn't affectionate at all. No hugging or I love you. She was also the disciplinarian. I swear that woman could throw a flip flop around corners. I once told her that under the Geneva convention making me go out and pick my own switch could be considered torture. She gave me a choice...switch or no library for a month. I took the switch. I think I was about 7. I did deserve every punishment I received, though. My mouth always got me into trouble.

I don't know how you southerners and westerners do it, but it's only 82 and I'm seriously about to die. It is too hot for pants. I don't own any shorts, but BF's boxers work well in a pinch.

What? We are loving our 80's here. It will get close to 90 a couple of days this week, but this is Aug. and we will take the upper 80's. You are really used to that blasted cold aren't you? :/

Yep! My kids start falling on the ground from heat exhaustion if the weather hits 65 or higher.

Yes, us old folks enjoy our chickens. Some more than others.
