Getting chicks to pose for pictures.... How? Very difficult, but fun trying...

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again... Second batch of eggs ordered up this morning for before Friday delivery (Wheaten Marans, EE, CCL and Welsummers once again). I'll get my flock slowly but surely....

They are so cute!!!!!

So far I have had one hatch it's an Andalusian.

I don't know how you southerners and westerners do it, but it's only 82 and I'm seriously about to die. It is too hot for pants. I don't own any shorts, but BF's boxers work well in a pinch.

What? We are loving our 80's here. It will get close to 90 a couple of days this week, but this is Aug. and we will take the upper 80's. You are really used to that blasted cold aren't you? :/

I've never posted on this thread before, but given that I'm a grandparent who is retired and has been raising chickens for the past 50 years, I figured it's time I did. So to all of you old folks out there like me, enjoy the golden years of your retirement. )

Yes, us old folks enjoy our chickens. Some more than others.
