Big protests currently in Ferguson by the police station along with a huge thunderstorm.
It was pretty tense but seems to be getting a bit calmer as I type.
Shame you can't order up the t-storm we had a couple of nights ago. We got over 6" of rain in about an hour - I imagine that would dampen anybody's enthusiasm for stomping around and shouting. We had a tree in our yard that got struck by lightning, too - better that that sort of thing not happen; that's not the way we want to thin the crowd!

My chickens were NPIP tested today. Yay! DD helped, and we got it done in short order. Got my paperwork, and will have my card shortly. Oh, they gave me a calendar too. The chickens were not impressed with having to go through that, so I could get a calendar. They settled down, and got happy when I gave them treats.

Chickadoodles - you need to shop for chicken either incognito ( you can borrow my Cone) or have a' shopping proctor' pick up the "shameful goods."

I have a different problem in the grocery store. All the checkers know I am an ice cream addict and all waggle digits at me when I say" I am buying for a friend." I AM my best friend.

If we lived near each other I'd pick up your chicken and you could get the ice cream(with coupons of course) for me. It would have been a win- win situation.

A WARM SPOT

Just come south to California! We were a bit over 100 today. Tomorrow is 59 for a low and 101 for a high. We are in the time of the year with huge temperature swings. It is not good for health to have that happen.

Oh man ron, hoping we are past those three digit marks. I am looking forward to the 80's again this weekend..it's been in the 70's lately. It is warmer down south of us. People have homes in the southern part of the state for the winter months.
