oh jeepers, I know the quail have passed on but, I can hear their bones crackling as I read the instructions

sorry no quail for me. Once I was walking and stepped on something that made crackly noises. Looked down and then jumped - I had stepped on a very dead & dried out American Robin. I can still hear that sound. Think I am a bit sensitive. Ya think?

You can do Spatch cocking on any bird. Its just a way to make it cook evenly. I am even considering doing the thanksgiving Turkey that way this year

I take it you have never cut chicken up for frying?

You know.... I may just do the turkey Boned and trussed with the dressing..... then I could carve it up with a slice of stuffing right inside.

Then make Bone stock.

November is coming any one doing their own home grown Turkey?

I just got back from a restaurant, my mother turned 60 today so she treated us to a meal. We wen't to a restaurant that had gotten a Michelin star a while back, but I have to say it didn't quite meet my expectations. Everything was beautiful, but tastewise it left me craving for more. Very subtle tastes.

Happy birthday Mom.... OH mannn..... I could be your mom....I will be 60 next year. Mine turned 80 this year...

It was 98ºF or 36.6ºC at 10:30 today... I suspect it went into the tripple digits since then.... Town up north about twenty miles as the crow flies was 104ºF or 40ºC by noon....

OMG.... Clear Blue sky... at noon and Now the wind came up from the NORTH and its dropping rain drops the size of your fist.

it is still 104 degrees.

The wind is hitting the screens so hard they are screaming....

Lightening just struck at Miramar.... Took five seconds for the thunder to hit us.

Our first tropical storm in YEARS.....
