The Cirque des Poulets, home of the Keystone Koop.

I replaced my floor covering in one coop with a thin sheet of HDPE. You can plastic weld it. <--What's this?

We have some talent among us! Great Coops, everyone!

Going to start prepping my fall veggie garden. I finally found kale seeds. They are hard to find around here

What else are you going to plant? I am very limited on what I want to plant because nobody at my house will eat most fall crops.
Yeah, the labs are hunting tools. The dachshund also has a very important job, she takes up space in the couch, or in bed, and also conveniently handles leftover food. Sometimes before it is leftovers even. She also does a good job of getting rid of silence, especially when you're on the phone, or when a neighbor is at the door and wants to talk to you. Very talented dog.
You forgot sock stealing, face licking, rawhide disposal, and home protection (from squirrels, lizards, and the occasional toad.) I have one of those as well. We call her our wild elephant dog, thanks to her, there is not a wild elephant within a hundred miles of us. Outstanding.

OH MY goodness I laughed so hard when I saw this on a Raw foods for dogs diet on a Vegitarian website.... Its sooo wrong and sooo hilarious in many ways.....

Yes, I should have cited my source as the DogSnobs site that was linked earlier....not my photo.

Ok the following website was very helpful and informative

Thanks for that link! Very helpful!

Is anyone else planting a fall garden? If so what are u planting?

The only thing I know of for sure that I am planting this year is broccoli. I am thinking about planting some peas, though.

Wisher those chicken feet have beautifully manicured nails. You should have the dog sit outside on Halloween with those sticking out of his mouth. Then you could keep all the candy you bought for yourself. You know it is Trick or treat. Kids eat too much candy nowadays. I think a good trick(scary) is much better for them. Besides running away is great exercise.

If that was my dog, I might just do that! On second thought, the kids around here would just say, "Hey, lady, that dog ate one of your chickens."

Sorry guys. You know me..,

I requested a clean up in iasle 14.

OH and @Wisher1000 Sorry I the word said MOLE and I read VOLE.... eighteen inches buried should exclude them though from the coop.

Moles are worm eaters right?.... You might try just tilling the soil down as deep as you can get.... let the chickens eat the worms.... tunnels destroyed food gone.... Wire mesh in place....

Might work. At the very least the coop would be protected from other diggers...

HDPE is High Density PolyEthelene. Good stuff very very very durable. Its used in Food Grade containers among many other things. Has good UV stability.... the color may fade but it will still maintain its strength and duribility.... I prefer the un colored like white

A link to one of my resources when I was designing quick prototypes.

The white or blue plastic 55 gallon drums are made of this. You can saw it and even weld it with a heat gun.

Its so abrasion resistant its good for lining horse trailer walls.

Oh, no, the section on integrated management and on poisons was most helpful. I also didn't know the difference between a mole and a vole, I learned something!

I am thinking of turning the soil and adding more sand. I am not sure about the hardware cloth, though. I already have wire on the outside to keep the large diggers out.
