The Old Folks Home

Of course, a drug or explosives sniffing dog or a police dog might be trained to bark in certain situations, but that's working too.

I used to have a retired Navy drug dog that had been taught an active alert. She was on a VERY short leash when walking through Berkeley. ROFL- She thought she'd gone to heaven and all leash manners went out the window. No more Berkeley trips for her!

Being overtly pc is another form of discrimination in my opinion. If a relationship is so fragile that a racist joke can bring it crashing down, then it wasn't a very stable relationship to begin with. Besides, telling racist jokes about a minority to that minority when you're not a part of it yourself is great fun just for the reactions.
Dangerous if they have a bat. I'm in the south and we don't mess around with racist jokes. It can get you hurt

Ideally, I don't think there should ever have to be a situation where a business would have to ask any of those questions, only in the case of such behavior as you've described do I think it's okay. Faking that your dog is a service animal is something a person should deserve to be heavily fined for, I think it's disgraceful.

Unfortunately in the US Service Dog faking occurs too often without any consequences. Poor behavior, period, occurs too often without consequences.

I agree with the Feds decision not to require ID for SDs but the result is dealing with the selfish people.

Quote: Yeah, it's a bit of a powder keg over there (according to my extensive personal experience based solely on movies and TV).

We don't really have similar tensions here. I'm a part of our largest minority, we make up about 6% of the population. My native tongue is the second official language of the country, genetically we live 7 years longer than the national average and are healthier, we're usually better educated, employed and payed.

I left my feelings in the afterbirth. I dont care what anybody says about me...i think idiots come in all shapes and colors. Good people do too. Imho sometimes some people use discrimination as an excuse to be a dummy.

Or worse. My brother heads up the trouble shooting department of a software company. In the world of computers, the white male segment of the population is over represented, and the company was getting heat to diversify. My bro had a young black woman dumped in his department that he thinks lied on her application, because she seemed totally ignorant of even the simplest things relating to computer programming. He said if he sent her on a job, he could count on having to send someone the next day to fix the mess she had created. He couldn't fire her, she was the company's darling because of her minority status; any time he said anything even mildly critical of her job performance she threw down the race card.He told me, "I couldn't have cared less if she was purple with green polka dots if she could do the work, but she couldn't." He wound up having to go through "sensitivity training" because of her; he said it was one of the best days of his life when the company transferred her out of his department.
