I built this today

@LindaB220 Looks like it will work for fermented feed. Think I'll need some holes in the lid so gas doesn't build up and cause the food to over flow. Posted it here until I get the kinks worked out if any.

Is there a DNA test for high uric acid in humans too?

No, the kidneys make or do not clean up uric acid. It become crystals that get into the joints and cut up the cartilage which causes the swelling. The joint can be permanently damaged from it . People with gout are also prone to kidney stones.

It is called Gouty arthritis.

There's a DNA test in dogs for hyperuricosuria, high uric acid in urine. Simple recessive trait. Increased risk of bladder stones. Same diet restrictions- low purines plus increase water consumption. Some people give a pinch of baking soda several times daily.

Well we did go over the rim (on purpose but not in a car) but we didn't hold hands.

Cynthia I was pretty close to the bull elk but the camera did let me get closer. They are fairly tame allowing people to photograph them. I wouldn't get too close though. Those antlers look like they would hurt.

Then for some great news!

Apparently the addition of a wind break to our coop was so awesome in Emma's opinion, that she decided to thank us by laying her first egg!

Here we have the culprit once again. She's a bit over 25 weeks now.


And the egg. Slightly darker tan than the Alhos make, 39 grams. Pretty decent size for a first, if you ask me.

Also, her brother seems to be very proud. He's out there singing the egg song all excited, half an hour after she laid it.
