Plucking was really hard. Next time I think I'll let it soak in cold water to completely saturate the feathers and down, then I'll dunk it in hot water.

I wonder if a bit of dish soap would help--get through the oily water proofing?

Make sure you rinse very, very well. Dawn completely wrecks the taste of duck. BTW when you prepare that duck for me, I would like orange sauce too!!Thank you
