The Old Folks Home

dsqard love all the pictures, #2 is my favourite. That times laps mini movie is amazing! That would look so neat playing on a digital frame... I want that camera!
It is not the camera so much. There are just a few things you will need to do a time lapse movie. You need a digital camera that shoots in manual mode. You can use one that shoots jpg but RAW format is better for post processing. You need a study tripod. You need an intervalometer (device that keeps triggering the shutter at set intervals). You need a program to do the editing (I use Photoshop, pretty easy once you watch a video on how to do it). Finally you need a scene where things are changing. You can use traffic, clouds, shadows etc. It has been fun exploring this new technique. DH bought me the intervalometer for my birthday.

Hi All!

My account was messed up until just now. I paid to renew my Golden Feather membership and lost all my permissions.

It is great to be back on!

Yikes glad it all works now

Neat! now to find an inter-valo-meter ~she sounds in out~ ;)

Or then you need instagram. They're coming out with some new time lapse feature, I read. Nevertheless, beautiful pictures, as always dsqard.

Welcome back Ron.

Thanks!

It was very frustrating to say the least!

Great pictures!

The witch shot can be done with a fast shutter speed on a regular old SLR.... I got a hundred of them during the Olympics in 84 At the Cross Country at Fairbanks ranch... All horses stopped in mid air.... No motion No single thing indicating how hard they were working..... Sigh.... If Only I knew or had instant feed back like with a digital....

Plusses and minuses in both cameras....

I took that SLR every where...
