Deb, I'm not sure, it's either one that was broody, or the only one that hasn't been broody a single time yet. Okay, Emma hasn't been broody yet either, but she's only been laying for a week.

Really doesnt matter you have a bunch of young hens getting their reproductive production line up and running.... it could be anyone. I have seen pictures of a fart egg that have had an egg shell and added and another egg shell made around that.... Sort of a double fart.....

This is the most recent (and smallest ever) wind egg I have gotten. It was about the size of a robins egg and the tissue it formed around looked like a piece of cooked yolk.

you know Wisher.... if I found this in my coop I would have said it was a quail egg. When I have chickens I have a flock of freeloaders that hang around the yard fussing at me to get on with feeding.... Once I leave the male gives the call and the rest come out of the Chaparral.... I scatter about sracth for them all.... Oh the muttering and scratching about that ensues. Its like watching little chickens

I usually say, "Well, did we learn anything?"

I still remember being in another room and overhearing the conversation as my kids hastily cleared away the evidence of some ill-thought-out adventure. DS said, "If she sees this, you know what she's gonna do. She'll say, 'did we learn anything?' I hate it when she does that!"

Parenting. Sometimes, you can't win.

I love overhearing those words.

They hear us, they really do. Sometimes they don't give a rat's tail, but they hear it.
