Actually, it was my senior year, and it was a 'dress up as what you want to be when you grow up, career thing'.

Several people dressed up in Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts and said that they were doctors on vacation. I forget why the one guy came to school with a rifle, I showed up with a ratty straw hat, my summer ranch work clothes, barefoot, and with a machete. I was supposed to be a dirt poor land rich rancher.

didn't pan out for me -sigh-

It was a nice high school. We also had a 'bring your pet' to school day, as well as a 'dress like the English teacher' day. He always wore wild clothes.

Thanks. I figured I would try this thread and converse with folks that remember life before internet when we still had verbal skills. I have never been on Spacebook, My Face or Tweeter. I have never selfied. I'm still not sure what an Instantgram is. This is pretty much it for my "social media" where I can share my interests with other chicken, duck, goose, turkey, guinea, donkey, horse, goat, pig, dog, cat owners.

I have a facebook account but I was roped into it.... But I am usually pretty computer savvy.
I have had:
horses now 47 years
Dogs all my life 59 years... till last year... sob.
Cats off and on since I was ten... I am kind of done with cats
Goats I adopted four about fourteen years ago.... Sadly my last ones were taken by mountain lions.

I sooo want a Mammoth donkey. Something to keep my horse company.
On the poultry front I have had
Various flocks of chickens the last one was a flock of Wlsummers
Various times Ihave had Guinea Fowl....
Turkeys.... I had two wild turkeys.... Mr. and Mrs. T
I want Muscovys

Right now I just have one Draft horse named Katee. Baby Girl is 20 now and I have had her since she was six. She pulls stuff. Though she rides like you are sitting on a comfy couch.... even when she is Motoring across the landscape... Not a dead head for sure.

My poultry was lost last year.... my fault... I wont be doing any again till I can live at my house. Same goes for Goats....

If we pay the ransom do we get Bama back? I'm having withdrawal symptoms. You don't appreciate the worth of Bama, until he's not here.

Maybe we can have someone take his place in jail. Kinda like Hunger Games when she volunteers so her sister isn't taken. The nearest match is Vehve. They can alternate in and out of detention.

Oh, Roboduck, one assignment before you are considered a full fledged member. I didn't want to make this a requirement, but Vehve insisted and he can be quite persistent if he doesn't get his way. You must post three pictures. One of chickens, one of a person you find attractive but don't know personally, and one of either your garden or one you would like to have. I'm sorry, it really is silly but we like to humor Vehve.

Oh what I would give to have been able to talk to my Great Grandparents... but alas it was not meant to be.... they were preteens during the Civil War. Or War of Northern Aggression if you will.

I am living with my Grandmother for the time being.... she is 98. Born in 1916, the last of eight... Her oldest brother was in WW1 at the time.... And at 98 she remembers EVERYTHING....

hennible.... I saw your "explain your avatar" thread. I don't want to alarm you, but I couldn't help but notice the person in your avatar may have been bitten by a werecat. He seems to have an excessive amount of hair around his cat like eyes. You might want to be careful around him during full moons.
